Elizabeth Hoover is a poet, essayist, and journalist who specializes in writing about contemporary art, literature, and film.

She reviews poetry, profiles authors, and interviews writers for a variety of publications including Bitch, Bomb, and The American Poetry Review. In addition, her writing on art, film, and television has appeared in the Washington Post, Boston Review, and Paper.  She also contributes alumni profiles, exhibition previews, and timely news items to a variety of university and museum publications.



Her poetry has appeared in Narrative, Poetry Daily,  and Crab Orchard Review, among others, and her creative nonfiction has been included in Lunch Ticket and StoryQuarterly.. She received the 2017 Boulevard Emerging Poet Award, the 2015 Difficult Fruit Poetry Prize from Ithaca Lit, and the 2014 StoryQuarterly essay prize.
